The DJI Mic Mini Transmitter Infinity Black is one transmitter (model DMMT01) from the DJI Mic Mini system, sold on its own. It is not a complete wireless kit: it needs a DJI Mic Mini receiver, the DJI Mic Series Mobile Receiver, or a DJI camera that supports OsmoAudio direct connection. The transmitter weighs about 10 g without the magnetic clip, runs for up to about 11.5 hours, and sends audio up to 400 m in open, interference-free conditions. In the box are the transmitter, two windscreens, a magnetic clip, a compact pouch, a transmitter charging dock in Infinity Black and a USB-C cable.

Who needs a single transmitter
Most buyers of the DJI Mic Mini Transmitter Infinity Black already own something it can talk to. If you have a DJI Mic Mini kit and lost a transmitter, or bought the 1 TX + 1 RX version and now film interviews with two people, this adds the second voice, since the Mic Mini receiver pairs with two transmitters at once. If you film with an Osmo Pocket 3, Osmo Action 4, Osmo Action 5 Pro, Osmo Action 6, Osmo 360, Osmo Nano, Osmo Mobile 7P or Osmo Mobile 8, DJI says the transmitter connects directly through OsmoAudio, with no receiver at all, which keeps the setup to one camera and one small mic.

Size, weight and how you wear it
DJI lists the DJI Mic Mini Transmitter Infinity Black at 26.55 x 26.06 x 15.96 mm and about 10 g without the magnetic clip, light enough that it does not pull down a thin T-shirt or a kandura collar. It can be worn with the included magnetic clip, which sits behind the fabric, or clipped directly to clothing. Infinity Black is the discreet choice on dark suits, black abayas, hoodies and studio backdrops, where a white mic would stand out on camera. The two included windscreens, one black and grey and one plain black, help outdoors in wind, for example on a beach or a balcony.

Sound and noise cancelling
The capsule is omnidirectional, with a frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz with low cut off, or 100 Hz to 20 kHz with low cut on. DJI quotes a maximum SPL of 120 dB and equivalent noise of 24 dBA. Two noise-cancelling levels are available: Basic for quiet rooms, reducing fan, air-conditioning and reverb noise, and Strong for busy streets and crowded events. An automatic limiter lowers the level when input is too loud to avoid clipping. Note that the DJI Mic Mini Transmitter Infinity Black does not record internally, so the audio exists only on the receiver or camera it is sending to.

Battery, charging and range
The built-in 114 mAh battery of the DJI Mic Mini Transmitter Infinity Black gives up to about 11.5 hours. DJI measured that with one transmitter and one receiver, noise cancelling off, short-range recording without interference and the receiver connected to a camera by the 3.5 mm cable; real use with noise cancelling on will be shorter. Charging takes about 90 minutes, and the included Infinity Black charging dock with a USB-C cable means you can top up the DJI Mic Mini Transmitter Infinity Black without the full Mic Mini charging case. The maximum transmission distance is 400 m in an open, unobstructed, interference-free environment; indoors, through walls or among people, expect less.

Who This Is Not For
The DJI Mic Mini Transmitter Infinity Black is not for anyone starting from zero: on its own it cannot connect to a phone or a non-DJI camera, so you also need a Mic Mini receiver, the Mic Series Mobile Receiver or a supported OsmoAudio DJI camera. It has no internal recording and no 32-bit float backup, so a dropped signal means lost audio. It is not the newer Mic Mini 2 transmitter with swappable magnetic covers, and it operates only from -10 to 45 degrees C.
